This is how we told our family. Background: I had just finished renovating an investment property and since our whole family was together, I made a slideshow of the befores and afters so that my out of town family could see what has been keeping me busy for the past several months. It's a pretty quick video - only about 4 minutes long.

- This blog is attempt to capture and document our everyday life. Our daughter, Lillie, was born 8/8/2008 at 2:23 in the morning. She was born with a genetic mutation causing her to be diagnosed with a Duarte variant of galactosemia. But knowledge is power and we are able adjust her diet to prevent any long term consequences to her health. In addition to Lillie, we have Harvey. He's our golden retriever and loyal companion. I'm a cpa, jewelry designer, crafter, sewer, house flipper, and full time mom. Roger is a pilot, Air Force reservist, home improvement extraordinaire, and part time mechanic. Clearly, we are suckers for staying busy. Have fun keeping up with us!

Wow! I just saw your link on the other blog. Congrats, girl! How exciting, and of course and ingenious way of dropping the bomb on the fam. Can't wait to read about the progress!
Clever....very clever! I loved it. Even the words of Brick House kind of played along with the WHOLE theme of the video.
